Waste of time.. go to a professional.

New in the area, so I though I would try a local agent to help with get a new policy. Told her I was fine with the high deductible. I also told her that I used to be in the industry so I want a couple different options all in all Just wanted a good solid policy with low co-pays and good coverage.. the only quote I get back.. $35 bronze policy with $130 in add on like life ins and cancer prevention etc.. so a little background for the health insurance industry is that agents make the majority of their money on the add-ons not so much at the initial policy, so what slimy agents will do is.. is find out you have a $200 budget and give you a $50 policy then add $150 in add ons to make a bigger commission check. So when she sent me a $35 policy with $130 in add ons… and the coverage was horrendous! like really….
Im all about making money.. I get it but there’s a difference giving someone a good quote with good coverage and making a couple bucks and full on scamming someone for a bigger commission.

Initially, I wasn’t gunna leave a review but then she went off on me for being new to the area..
