Tim explained the issues very well and made my wife and I feel comfortable with remediation process. The two guys who came to do the actual work were polite, friendly and quick. Also very knowledgeable.

I was impressed with how quickly they came out to give me an estimate. Their prices were very competitive and when I called to schedule the job they got me on their schedule right away. They showed up on time and were done in the time slot that they had estimated. Their employees were very polite and made sure to clean up after themselves. I was very impressed with the level of customer service I received.

Tim was very professional, answering all our questions from a scientific perspective. He performed tests to identify possible spore presence rather than just jumping straight to the more costly spore test. He was friendly, punctual, and left us feeling very well taken care of.

The owner is friendly and knowledgeable as well as his staff. They try to accommodate as they are aware these problems need to be taken care of quickly in some cases. They accept credit cards without charging extra fees. The areas they worked in were clean and you wouldn't have known they were there except the mold was gone! I only have good things to say about this company and highly recommend them.

Active Mold Control was quick, effective, professional and affordable. We were in the process of selling our house when the home inspection turned up mold in our attic space. I had several bids for remediation and most of the other companies told me it was 'grim'. Which meant expensive. AMC was the only one who gave me hope that it wouldn't cost an arm and a leg to get it taken care of. To start with, Tim came out to my home to give me a free estimate of what the remediation would cost. He was knowledgeable and even took a sample of the attic mold for further testing. The day of my appointment, Jesse and Theodore arrived and were courteous and cheerful the entire time they were in my home. The whole process to remove the mold, and apply a mold-resistant paint, only took two hours. These guys work efficiently but are very thorough! They left my house looking like they were never there (except for the distinct lack of mold in my attic space!). Then when it came time to pay the bill, I had some serious issues with my bank. Tim was understanding and patient through the whole process. It's hard to find customer service like AMC demonstrated throughout the entire process. We recently purchased a property with a mold issue in the attic. We had four bids on the job ranging from >$3000 to AMC's bid at $1250. I rarely go with the lowest bid. However, in this case, it seemed clear that AMC had very sound reasoning behind their course of action. Specifically, they were the only ones to actually follow the EPA guidelines, while all the other contractors seemed to be bidding out a much larger project than EPA would suggest was needed. Additionally, AMC was the only company to actually perform a mold test to identify: 1) whether it actually was mold we were all looking at and 2) what type of mold it was along with what hazard it presented. AMC was prompt and proffessional, they were done with the job in about half a day and were able to schedule us quickly. Their work came with a five year warranty, and overall I'm very happy with the job that was performed.

They did a wonderful job. Only company that tested our attic at no charge gave us the lab results prior and completed the work exactly as promised. Highly recommend.

Jim was extremely responsive and available to take my call and returned calls promptly. He scheduled me in quickly due to our concern with possible black mold. On the day of, he finished the prior job a bit early and called to see if it would be more convenient for us to meet him earlier (which it was) and came promptly. As it turns out, what we were seeing was not a mold problem, but he tested thoroughly and gave us a recommendation. Also, because it was a short visit and there were not several mold samples to be tested, he gave us a reduced price (unexpected and much appreciated). If we ever have mold concerns in the future, we will certainly call Active Mold Control again!

Very professional and knowledgeable. This was 1 of two bids that I got. The other company I got a bid from did not test the mold but just assumed it was the very hazardous form and gave a bid that was twice this amount. I had screwed up and did not know the house needed to be empty of other contractors during the treatment. They were very gracious about re-scheduling. Also, afterwards I had a question about what caused the mold since I received two different answers from two different contractors. Tim was very nice to talk with me and let me know exactly how to find out the answer by myself so I wouldn't have to rely on others for the answer.

We have visible mold in our basement/garage, at least partially due to a leakly outlet pipe from our furnace. Tim told us that we needed to have a roofer replace the "flash" on the top of the outlet pipe, and then get a handy-man to replace the molded drywall. He said he could do it, but as "mold remediation" it would cost double. In other words, he reassured us that our problem was basically cosmetic and his services were not needed! He also tested for mold particulates in the air and assured us that the level inside was the same as outside. In other words, no problem! And he was funny, explained everything well, and was attentive to our animals.

We received a bid to remediate mold in our attics from another contractor and Active Mold was our second opinion. Tim took the time to review our two attic spaces carefully, take mold samples and then delivered an excellent analysis and review. His determination was that we actually don't need to do anything as long as the attic continues to stay dry. | |He said his company could do the clean up if we wanted it done for $1750. The first company that went up there made it sound like we had a real problem and their bid was $2200! Tim also suggested an attic ventilation fan which we might do after we move in. | |Overall, Active Mold gave us a thorough report and I really appreciated NOT being sold something I don't need.

I was advised to get a mold inspection on a house I'm purchasing based on some old water damage found in the attic. Since we were already aware of a possible issue, Active Mold Control offered to do the inspection for free. The mold tests came back negative and they did not suggest remediation. They were professional, punctual, and honest and I would be happy to call them again if I suspected an issue.
