A portion of my parent’s fence blew down and they needed it fixed right away. Ken Garcia came out the same day. Per his contract, he was to build a new gate, replace nine posts, and install some metal material on the fence (to keep the dog from chewing on it) for $1,675. He just put up new posts alongside the old ones. He didn’t even take the old rotted ones out. After the gate and the new posts were all set up, he told his crew to come back out and re-do everything. This didn’t seem necessary and was an inconvenience. When he was questioned about why he was doing this along with his high prices, he immediately told his guys to leave the job. Ken Garcia said he would issue a refund of $300 since he didn’t install the metal which was clearly stated in the contract. He said he would mail the check but it has now been close to two months and this guy just dropped off the face of the planet. He stopped answering calls, texts, and emails from my parents. Our last resort was to go through the Better Business Bureau to get this resolved. During the first meeting with my parents, he told them he was BBB accredited. Here is a link to the BBB showing he is NOT accredited along with his “F” rating. http://www.bbb.org/denver/business-reviews/fence-contractors/keng-fence-in-denver-co-90230171/ I would highly suggest reading these complaints and working with a credible company for any fencing needs.
