Uber Movers New Jersey

This move has been quite an ordeal. In speaking with our salesman, John, my boyfriend was told that we could bring over double the 12 large boxes we were quoted at and still qualify for a mini-move of around $1,000. We told John we would like our move delivered on the 2nd-4th. John said this wouldn't be an issue at all and that the movers would call us 24 hours in advance. When we began to realize we were going to be around double the size, we tried to get in touch multiple times and no one ever called us back within business hours. When the movers actually arrived, they told us we had 450-500 sq feet of boxes. We noted this was impossible and actually did the math on the marked sq feet per box (most of our boxes were small) which amounted to 130 cubic feet. We also had a four-seat dining room table with 6 chairs, a bedside nightstand, a couple suitcases and a small tv stand. The movers disassembled the table, as well, making it a flat sheet. We then went out to the actual van to measure it for them and still came out at 250 cubic feet, especially if they actually organized the load and put boxes underneath the table and on top. They wouldn't do this and insisted on marking us as 350 sq feet and charging us another $1,000.00. Flash forward to the 3rd and we still hadn't heard from the movers. We called the Uber line and was connected with a woman named Manisha Manning. He asked when we would be receiving our move the next day and she proceeded to tell us that there is actually a 1-12 day range from the first day you say you're available and we were marked as the first day being available on the 2nd. We explained that John had said we would get it by the 4th, and Manisha Manning proceeded to be the most inappropriately aggressive and outright rude customer service person I have ever had the misfortune of hearing. She told him he should've read the fine print, he should've questioned John because it was "ridiculous" of us to assume they could make that move "so quickly". I have moved across the country 3 times and I can tell you my movers have successfully moved more boxes within a weekend. (sidenote: I did read the fine print and it quotes out 1-10 days, not 1-12). We were very put-off by her tone and attitude and asked to speak with her manager. She told him she didn't have a manager. He then asked if he could please speak to anyone else in the entire office to which she replied she was the only person who worked there. We asked who her boss was and for his/her contact information and she listed the owner of Uber Movers as her boss and the information email address and 1-800 number as his phone number. She then said she couldn't tell us when our move would arrive and didn't know where it was. We asked that she check in on this and call us back. He asked when he could expect to hear from her. This is the Second time I have used moving company and this group was by far more pro with their documentation than the past company we hired. I got a quote from they had the lowest rate but provided three people to do the move which meant it went more rapidly. All other agencies would only offer two. I have a grand piano. They amazed me with how much attention they had in moving it and when it arrived there was not even a scratch on it. Highly recommend to everybody...

If you think your moving company is the best, then be prepared to change your opinion. I recently experienced moving for the very first time through uber. I have never tried moving inter state before so I really did not know what to expect and how to get the best people to work on my situation. I booted up my computer and started searching for companies that offer such service. I found a lot of them and narrowed the list down based on user reviews. Among my top 5 was uber movers and four other companies. I further narrowed it down to three and then asked for a quote for each one of them. Uber was not the cheapest, nor the most expensive. But what made me choose it is their evident dedication and professionalism. The whole move went really well and it really made me feel proud of my choice. Good job for them and for me.

This place is horible. They gave me a quote of $3500 but when they came to pick up my stuff they told me I was going to be charged $8000. I was told that the person who gave me the quote did it wrong.

I would give them 0 stars if it was possible. Run away from this place. They will double the cost and hold your things hostage. They will store your things in a warehouse, move them more than once and things will get lost and damaged. They bring nothing with them to protect the floors or carpeting. They are the WORST!! And the insurance is a joke. You have to provide all kinds of estimates jut to get pennies on the pound for damages. I had broken drawers, cracked chairs, and scratched surfaces of many of my furniture pieces. I did the repairs myself and they wouldn't pay me for the damages. STAY AWAY from Uber Movers!!!!

Uber movers never showed any signs of slowing down when I worked with them for the first time I moved to my new home with my fiance. They were very professional, very quick in doing things, and everything was on time. I really like how these guys accommodated me. Thank you very much for the good service that you provided.

I would like to express my unending gratitude to this super amazing company! My move from New York to Connecticut went really well and I never had any nightmares or problems that other companies or customers have. Uber took good care of me and my stuff. This company ain't perfect. People have positive and negative comments about almost everything. But for me, uber did an exemplary job so the get an overly positive review from me! Great job! We contacted Uber movers for a long distance move from Texas to Vermont. We have a 5 bedroom home so this is a rather large move. I talked with "Jason" who's signature line says "Quality Assurance Manager". He had me do an "online inventory" form. I did this and then he went over it line by line. He also called my wife and went over the items once again. I expressed concern about his estimate being quite a bit lower than the others and he responded by email and stated "This is a binding not to exceed estimate, I don't know what else to say". I asked what happened if we were over the amount and he then said "Be thankful you went with us. We don't weigh the truck so we won't charge over the amount we quoted". Jason went on to warn me about companies that "broker" loads and that they don't do that. He also said it would take approximately 5 days to get our belongings from Texas to Vermont. I still had an unsettled felling about this move and my wife called a national company. They sent a rep out and gave us an estimate that was $5,900.00 and they estimated the weight at 12,000 lbs. Uber had quoted $3,700.00 and estimated weight at 8,000 lbs. I called Jason and emailed him the estimate. He then emailed back that "I am not worried about it. Those companies overestimate by 20-30% so we are fine". I believed that.

Several days before the move I had a call from a moving company called "Great North American" out of Washington state. They were calling to let us know they would pick up our belongings on the 20th of October. Uber had been scheduled for the 18th. When I asked how they got the load they said that Uber had "brokered" it to them. I read their reviews and their FMCSA and it was unacceptable. I called Jason and he assured me it was a mistake and they do sometimes broker loads but they weren't with mine. They said they were picking it up on the 18th as agreed.

The movers called on the 18th and said they would be here between 10am and noon. That was good for us. Noon came and went and we called and we were told they got held up on another job and would be here by 2pm. That was ok also. 2pm came and went and it came to 4pm and I called again and they said the movers were "in our neighborhood" and would be here by 4:30PM. The actual driver of the truck called and said that the truck had broken down and he would be here by 5:30PM. I asked him if he would b bringing in a tractor trailer and he said that he was driving a 26 foot straight truck. I asked if all would fit and he said that they only quoted the amount for half the truck. I stated that there was no way it would fit. He said he would look at it when he got here.

At around 6pm when he got here he came in and looked at all and said he wasn't sure he would be able to fit it all in his whole truck so the price would be more than double. He was also driving a plain white, unmarked truck. I

My friend Jefferson referred me to uber when I had to move to another state last month. He gave me all the links and websites where I can learn more about the company before I even start to talk to them in their office. When I think I already gained enough information about them (which was basically a mix of good and bad reviews) I took the chance to talk to them personally. They gave me a very reasonable quote and they promised me to do a great job and hit my customer satisfaction. They arrived at my home on time when they picked up my stuff and they also arrived on time when they had to deliver them in my new address. Overall I think uber kept their word and did what they have to do so kudos to you.

We contacted several moving companies before deciding on Uber's. Richard, the person we dealt with was very knowledgeable and helpful and I have no complaints about him. The actual movers, however, is a different story. They arrived at our house on time, but from there it went downhill. We had an older TV & at one time they had it upside down! Never could figure that one out? We have an antique buffet and as they were carrying it in, one of the doors flew open. I asked them to please be careful with that item as it was an antique and it had a lot of sentimental value. Before they got it in the house, the other door flew open. I told them that they were good, they got both doors! We looked at the dresser to our bedroom suite and it had a BIG dent in it. Little did we know, that was a minor thing compared to the rest of the damage that we incurred. One of the drawers in the hutch that went on top of the dresser was put in backwards, plus being destroyed. The bottom drawer was also destroyed, I mean literally destroyed. One of the night stands drawers had fallen out and it was also broken. Basically, our bedroom suite is destroyed. We have moved at least 7 times over a period of time without anything ever being messed up. If you person is looking for a demolition team to destroy and maim, these are the right movers. I would run as fast as possible if I EVER saw this bunch coming towards any of my possession. I will also admit that I did not read all of the reviews before hiring this company, however I have went back and reviewed them. Perhaps it is just me, but it appears that most of the positive reviews were written either by the same person, or someone who on paper sounds alike. Don't know for sure. If I could have given them a lower rating than 1, that would had been the number that I would have chosen. Please, please be wary of this company! I will never use them again or would I ever give them any type of good reference, unless I really hated the person who asked.

Let me start by saying that uber movers is a genius when it comes to the moving industry! They did so much better than the other company we worked with in the past that just got us through a lot of nightmare. This company is indeed very promising and very diligent. It has been our dream to move to another state since my husband and I wanted a more peaceful and greener place. So, last month we had the decision to finally take my Mom's house in Virginia and had to hire a moving company to give us a hand for all of our stuff. We contacted uber and they were courteous and polite. They gave us a reasonable quote and promised to do good with the move. We kind of trusted them right away since the guy really looked so convincing and sincere. As a result, they sure did keep their promise and the move concluded on time.

Like any other consumer, I want quality in all the things I spend my money in. And as far as uber movers is concerned, I definitely think they deserve the money that I shed out for the wonderful service! It was on time and they never showed any signs of slowing down. Don't believe ANY of the reviews posted. Most are made up from the company. Do yourself a favor and hire anyone except these guys. As an actual customer, I have been waiting for my goods for one month and the company will not take my calls or emails. Total ripoffs!

NOTHING BUT LIES! Uber Movers came to our house in Philadelphia, PA on 8/29. They were on time and did move all of our stuff. The quote they gave is was completely incorrect. We tired to adjust the amount of pieces, but no one ever called us back. We had to be out that day or we would have found a different company. They left our house around 7:30pm. We made the trip in 18 hours to Celebration, FL not including an over night stay in VA. We were told by the driver that they were taking our stuff that night to GA. On 9/7/13 we called to find out the status on our belongings. We were told that it was being loaded onto the truck that day and would be to us in 3 days. We questioned it since we were told on 8/29 that our stuff was going to be in GA. That means delivery should have been 9/10/13. Well, it never showed up. We called again. We were told delivery would be on 9/14 or 9/14 and the driver would let us know the day before what time he would be there. On 9/14 our stuff still wasn't here. We called again. We were told our stuff was in NC and would be here on Monday. Monday came and went, no delivery. We called again for several days and no one called us back.Finally we filed a report with the BBB. Someone called us back and told us our complaint was premature. They are trying to get it pulled saying that we haven't given them enough time to for fill the contract and they still have 30 days to complete the delivery. At that point we were told that our stuff would be here no later than 9/25/13 and the driver would call us 24 hours beforehand to let us know he was going to be here. Well, that day has passed. Today is 9/25/13 at 7:01pm and we still don't have a thing. Our delivery hasn't shown up for the fourth time they promised us delivery. Now they are telling us it will be here on Friday. Lies after lies after lies.

Moving manager Jackie came at home before the moving day and made a plan with us. They appeared on time on the day of moving, packed well and load all things efficiently. I told them that they have to pack my things also. On 18 June, Bruce, my moving manager visited at our home to see my belongings that I need to move with us. After an investigation he told me that packing all goods that I listed and moving them from Philadelphia, PA to Jackson, TN would be priced $2500. I asked him how he estimated this price. His explanation was so transparent that I had no doubt on pricing. On the Wednesday he sent his team to box all things that was listed for packing. They did it very well and leave my house before 1:00pm. Next day Bruce and his team came with a large truck. I asked him if the truck would be allowed in the area where we would have to go. He ensured me that there would be no problem on the route. Then I permitted them to load my things into the truck. After successful loading all things Arik prepared to drive the truck. I checked my belongings Again if they were loaded all. After 4 days they reached at my new home. Crews unloaded all things and help me to set them inside the house. Crews were very gentle and highly skilled. They were also very cooperative. I've known to very well with Buce and Arik. They really work hard to make this move smooth as far as possible. On the same day my good was arrived in there. The crews unload all goods. I checked the condition of each box and other household items as those were unloaded. There was nothing missing or damaged at all. That was very busy day for me. However it was a great pleasant to me that we could move successfully. I saw how much difficult to arrange a move in a day of torrential rain. Tuesday, it was my hard day; unfortunately that was my moving day and I dealt with Uber movers. We shocked twice, once in the morning and later in the afternoon, by severe thunderstorms that produced winds over 60 mph, torrential rain and small hail. I thought that we can't move on that day, because mover was making late to reach in our house due to torrential rain. Finally they came at 2pm and pack everything tightly and carefully, because we would have a possibility to experience of small hail.
