The Artist's Apprentice

The Artist's Apprentice offers fine art classes, Art Parties & Group Art Outings at The Studio in Independence Township. Offerings include painting with sand , watercolor (including bamboo brush painting), watercolor pencil, acrylics, oil, & gouache. Sculpture in clay, paper, paper machie & string. Drawing includes graphite, charcoal, oil pastels & chalk pastels & scratch art. Printmaking offers split fonts with brayers, organic image transfers, marbleizing papers & lino-cuts. Specialty classes include Paint-Like-the-Masters Series featuring famous artists from Renoir to Homer; Manga, Fashion design, Interior design & architectural rendering. Servicing the art interests of homeschool & students in Clarkston, Brandon, Springfield, Davisburg, Waterford, Lake Orion, Rochester Hills and Auburn Hills school districts by artist/instructor Pamela Palmer BFA. Volunteer services include, cancer recovery, free art stop at the farmer's market & festival days. Adult & Senior instruction available.

Atmosphere: The Artist's Apprentice Studio has a classroom-like atmosphere with skylights and many scenic window views of the forest. It is located in in woodland setting with a Lily Pond and Butterfly Garden and other Flower Gardens on the premisses.
