So when I moved in a year ago, it really wasn't too bad. Sure there were some biffs here and there, but the management (at the time) was wonderful.
Now... not so much, they have just changed ownership and management to AMC L.L.C. and they are AWFUL!!! I rarely need help from the office, but when we switched to online pay and the website wasn't working I got no help whatsoever.
Of course this happened the Friday before rent was due... so I called Friday to get help, the guy in the office that answered said that no one had been trained on how to use the new website yet so he couldn't help me and I should just pay in person. COOL, except I work and had no time to run to the bank, and whatnot (hence why we set up the online payment method)
Saturday, called again... no answer, I left FOUR messages and they NEVER called me back, I even left work early to run to the office to see if anyone could help, I got there a few minutes before they closed and Lindi (the manger) was so busy trying to get out the door that she didn't even listen to my problem and simply printed off my username and password...Hey, thanks I already knew that... and the website STILL isn't working.
So of course, now my rent is considered late... I called sunday (they were closed) and left a message letting them know how upset I was and that I have done everything in my power to pay rent but no one has helped me so therefore I refuse to pay the late fee.
Come Monday the manager didn't even call me back... my fiance turned in our rent check, and she let him know that we have to pay the late fee. I called her once I got out of class and let her know that we were NOT going to pay the fee. She gave me major attitude and didn't provide any kind of resolution to the problem besides me paying the late fee. I finally wound up calling Shannon from corporate, she was extremely apologetic and understanding which is great, but I shouldn't have to call corporate to get that.
So long story short, the new management sucks, and I will definitely NOT be renewing my lease.
