Earthen Oven

The Earthen Oven , known in India as Tandoor is of great antiquity; a cooking appliance that either by accident or by designs is extremely efficient and yet simple to make. Earthen Ovens have been mentioned in the ancient Indian texts dating back to five thousand years. They have been found in excavations of Harappa & pre- Harappa sites. The Earthen Oven works on the same principle as the oven. However, it is the only kind of cooking medium that provides complete wrap-around heat. The Earthen Oven is a scientific and versatile apparatus. By controlling the draught and the quality of the fuel we are able to produce temperatures up to 400 degrees C. It is easy to construct, easy to use, easy to maintain and economical.
