I didn't know they were still around! They moved from Hells Kitchen to the upper east side. I've started going back for oil changes, etc., and still happy to give them business rather than the Jiffy-lubes..

Very honest and friendly staff. They fixed my Audi after I broke down. They were able to quickly diagnose the problem (alternator), and they gave me an estimate before they worked on the car. I will come back here, as they specialize in Audi's.

Active Auto Repair has been BY FAR THE WORST REPAIR COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!! On Labor day weekend me, my son, and boyfriend came to the city and my car died, So my boyfriend calls up Active Auto Repair and they came to tow my car to the repair shop but because it was a holiday they had to repair it the next day. The next day I am told that to repair the alternator, battery, belt and a tune up it was gonna be around $900! My father whom is a mechanic in CT where we live told me that they are ripping me off. So then im told that without the tune up it would be $600 for everything including labor. Still my father insists they are ripping me off and that he would pick it up. So i call and tell them that it would be picked up and I am then told that they already took out the alternator and if they put it back they would charge me $300 for labor.ok so im at their mercy and tell them just continue doing it even though they NEVER GOT my consent to begin!! so now the original price is not 600 but a little under $630.then when my bf goes back to the city about two hrs away from CT where we live they rush him out saying they are closing early and he leaves,half way home he sees DAMAGE ON THE BUMPER!! so since they closed early I have to call the next day, i call and i speak with the owner/ as he claimed he was and then when i told him about the damage he acknowledges it by saying OH YEAH. i'm gonna have to have the owner talk to you can you call tomorrow its a jewish holiday today. I thought you were the owner but no he's just the manager and has no idea what insurance they have.This company is a disgrace and should be shut down. I have called them everyday since I was aware of the damage and they have yelled at me, harrassed me and have hung up on me on several occassions. A week later I finally get a hold of the owner Josh and he saids they didn't do it and to file a lawsuit because they are not taking accountability.
