1. Minnesota State Fair

St. Paul has one of the country's most exciting state fairs, held at the State Fairgrounds. At the fair you will find lots of great food, rides, parades, animals and more. The Minnesota State Fair is held each year, usually around the last week of August.

7. Cafesjian's Carousel

This restored, functioning antique carousel is located in St. Paul's Como Park. It was built in 1914 and was used for many years at the Minnesota State Fair, before being sold at auction and restored. Kids will love to ride this unique and colorful carousel, which features 68 horses and 2 chariots.

8. Fitzgerald Theater

Operated by Minnesota Public Radio, this theater is where many of the radio station's programs, such as Prairie Home Companion, are broadcast. When visiting St. Paul you can get tickets to one of the many programs that are created here.

9. Cathedral of St. Paul

People who appreciate great architecture, as well as anyone who likes to visit cathedrals will enjoy visiting this Renaissance style building. The interior of the cathedral contains six chapels and has impressive statues and marble columns. It's also situated on a hill that provides a nice view of the city.

10. Ordway Center For the Performing Arts

This is a theater where you will find many amazing performances, including concerts, Broadway quality plays, dance performances and operas. The theater, which opened in 1985, is itself a beautiful structure whose interior and exterior are admired by visitors.
