I had an appointment on 12-27 with Elise at 9:00 a.m. to get my niece hair braided for her birthday. I waited 15 minutes and called her and said I confirmed my appointment with you on 12-26 since you never returned my call on 12-23 to confirm. She said yes I went to my shop this morning and I have no power, she said could you come to my apartment. Elise lied because the barbershop right next door to her had power but since we had no other choice we went to her apartment so my niece could get her hair braided. We get to her apartment and Elise tells me I bought the wrong hair when I CLEARLY ASKED "what hair do you feel is best", synthetic or human hair. She told me it didn't matter, so I bought human hair. As Elise kept talking she says that with human hair it'll take all day to braid (this is why she didn't want to use the human hair). She tells us that if she braided with human hair it would not look right. I've had my niece hair braided several times with human hair so she KNOWS NOT WHAT SHE IS TALKING ABOUT!!! We then had to leave to go buy synthetic hair. They (her nieces), not Elise finally get started on my niece hair at 10:15. The two working on my niece hair were pulling so hard they made my niece cry. If a PROFESSIONAL was hurting their client they would've made an attempt to please their client. Elise had 4 small kids in the apartment that she was watching and she was screaming at them the whole time we were there. If we had to come to her then she should of been respectful of us (her clients). Elise and African Hair Braiding company is very UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I will NEVER recommend her to ANYONE and I will NEVER go back to AFRICAN HAIR BRAIDING EVER AGAIN!!! I will make sure to let everyone know about Elise and the way she handled this situation.
